Your Giving Is Making A Difference

A tithe is simply giving the first 10% of your income to God through the local church. This biblical principle, seen throughout the Old and New Testaments, is a consistent reminder that all we have comes from Him. It’s not a tax—it’s an act of worship, gratitude, and surrender. 

At New Life Praise Center, we don’t give to keep the lights on—we give to see lives changed. Your generosity funds ministry to kids and teens, provides for outreach through our food bank, supports local and global missions, and allows us to offer a place of worship, healing, and hope. It’s not about obligation—it’s about joining what God is doing in and through His people. 

God doesn't need anything from us—He is fully sufficient (Psalm 50:10–12). But giving is His invitation for us to participate in His work, grow in trust, and honor Him with what He’s entrusted to us. When we give, we declare: “God, I trust You more than my finances.” That act of faith opens the door to spiritual growth and personal transformation.

Godly giving flows from the heart. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, Paul says, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” It’s not about the amount—it’s about the posture of the heart. Whether you're tithing or giving a special offering, your gift is holy when it’s surrendered to Him. 

Stewardship is more than just managing money—it’s a lifestyle of honoring God with everything we’ve been given: our time, talents, treasures, and relationships. The Bible teaches that we are caretakers, not owners. As 1 Corinthians 4:2 says, “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” Biblical stewardship calls us to live with open hands, using what God has entrusted to us for His purposes. It’s not about pressure—it’s about partnership. Whether we’re giving financially, serving with our skills, or showing kindness to others, we reflect God's heart when we steward our lives with faith and purpose. At New Life Praise Center, we believe stewardship is an act of worship—one that multiplies impact and brings glory to God. 

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
